"Bang!"

Today I am going to be talking about the book "Bang!". I am going to use 3 of our four core class strategies. I am going to use questioning, clarifying, and summarize. To begin I am going to talk about........
 Questioning
  • What is the moral of this book?
  • What character made the most impacts on the main characters life?
  • How did the main character change due to those impacts?

clarify
  • Throughout this book, they repeat things wanting for two boys (Mann and Kee-Lee). To become a man. so I think the moral of this story is it takes time to become an adult well, in this case, a man.
  • In this story, there are two people who made an impact on the main character(Mann). They are his father and his brother Jason( Jason got shot that's how he died)
  • Mann changed a lot I don,t want to ruin the main part but because of what his father did and because Jason died.
summarize
This book is about Mann and his family and how they weren't the same even 2 years later after Mann's brother died(Jason). "THEY KILL PEOPLE where I live. They shoot 'em dead for no real reason."(flake,1). They say this in the first two sentences in the book which to me sets a good first impression. well... two years later the same thing is happening shootings and one day while Mann was home by himself he saw another person die by a shooting right in front of his house so his father decides to do something that will make him and his best friend (Kee-Lee) "become a man" and this had it twists and turns throughout the rest of the story

Out of sight Out of time

The book I am reading during DEAR (which is an acronym for Drop Everything And Read) is Out of sight Out of time. She was in this house that she don't know how she got there during the summer time. After 6 days of being there she got enough strength to get up so she put on some clothes and went outside she was talking too a lady named Mary then she saw this thing in the air which happened to be her mother in a helicopter (they are apart of this spy school her mother is the principle) her mother said she was on a mission. Then they left to go back to the spy academy Gallagher Academy for Exceptional Young Women. When she got back her roommates greeted her with a lot of love which made her feel welcomed again.Which brings me back to the point that when you leave somewhere for a while and you come home or back to visit. You miss them a lot you show them love and they also show you. This is how they Cammie felt  when she came went back to Gallagher Academy.

The P.O.V of The Catcher in the Rye

The book I am reading is the Catcher in the Rye. This book is in 1st person point of view. The main character is Holden and he continues to say "I" in the book. If the book was written in 3rd-person limited view. The book would have been very hard to understand. I enjoy how Holden Explains the things he does in great detail. To show why he did this. I think the author did a great job when he wrote the book how he did so far. :):)
